Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney played 7 minutes off the bench last night for Arsenal against Manchester United in the FA Cup at the Emirates.
Tierney, who has been continually linked with a return to the Hoops this summer on a pre-contract from Arsenal, who are said to not be taking up the option to renew his contract with the club.
He has even been willing to consider a loan deal for the rest of the season while paying a portion of his wages in North London.

While the Gunners tend to favour inverted full-backs like Oleksandr Zinchenko, Tierney’s old-school style of getting the ball and attacking opposition defences directly with crosses into the box has drawn the attention of a number of Arsenal supporters.
How good was it to see Kieran Tierney back on the pitch yesterday. Such a shame he has been plagued by injury. His cross at the end was pure class #COYG

Tierney could now be in contention to start Wednesday’s North London Derby at the Emirates against Tottenham, against former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou. This would only change if the player did sign a pre-contract before then.
How this affects Tierney’s rumoured move remains to be seen, as Arsenal did have the option to trigger a one-year extension but have chosen not to. If the Scottish defender were to start more games, it could mean the Gunners change their mind.
That does appear unlikely for now; however, it is certainly one to watch for Celtic supporters.
Given the praise he is receiving from Arsenal supporters, there is still support for him to be given one final opportunity under Mikel Arteta.
