Brendan Rodgers discussed Celtic’s hard-fought 2-0 win over Dundee United at Celtic Park, which saw the Hoops go 16 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
With Celtic struggling to find a second goal for a period in the second half, Rodgers praised the Hoops for their determination to add a crucial second goal to the game.
He said: (BBC Scotland), “No matter how dominant you are you’re going to have to defend for some of the spells.
“You have to deal with that and fairness to the players they did that really well. Then we get the second goal and put the game to bed.
“There are two teams playing in the game.

The Irishman continues to highlight the defensive approach of opposition teams at Celtic Park in Scotland, which means at times Celtic need to be patient in how they attack.
However, the Hoops showed why they are 16 points clear, with Reo Hatate bagging the all-important second goal.
Celtic showed the depth and quality they can bring onto the pitch, with the likes of Hatate, Paulo Bernardo, and Kyogo Furuhashi all coming off the bench in the second half to see the game out.
