Kyogo Furuhashi’s Brilliant Monday Morning Instagram Message as he Reflects on 2024

Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi this morning took to Instagram to reflect on another prosperous 12 months in green and white.

The Japanese frontman ended 2024 in perfect fashion, netting a brace in the Hoops’ 4-0 trouncing of St. Johnstone yesterday afternoon.

Just before the hour mark, he nodded home from close range after Paulo Bernardo’s initial effort was saved, and five minutes later, Kyogo doubled up, slamming home, first time, after a teasing Arne Engels delivery.

Kyogo is now into double figures in all competitions this season, and in the calendar year alone, he has 18 goals in 46 appearances.

He posted on Instagram this morning, sharing a few pictures from yesterday’s win over St. Johnstone as well as reflecting on 2024:

Kyogo will have been glad to get back among the goals ahead of a crucial Glasgow derby on Thursday.

The Hoops head to Ibrox 14 points ahead of their city rivals after their crisis continued with a 2-2 draw with Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday.

Victory away to Rangers would see Celtic all but end Philippe Clement’s title hopes if they aren’t dead in the water already.

A 17-point gap would be insurmountable, although 14 points, or even 11 if Rangers win midweek, would be equally difficult to claw back, especially given how well the Bhoys have been playing this season.
