Celtic fans would be forgiven for covering their eyes during Sunday’s penalty shootout in the Premier Sports Cup final against Rangers.
It was a tense affair after a thrilling 120 minutes of football, and the Bhoys eventually emerged from Hampden victorious.

Adam Idah, Callum McGregor, Arne Engels, Reo Hatate, and Daizen Maeda all clinically netted from 12 yards for the Hoops. Perhaps the most important moment of the shootout, though, was when Kasper Schmeichel denied Ridvan Yilmaz.
The great Dane made a terrific, one-handed save low and to his left to save the Rangers left-back’s spot-kick.
Celtic TV already made headlines in the cup final when Gerry McCulloch joked about Gers fans being dressed up as seats due to the sheer lack of them in Hampden when their players collected their runners-up medals.
Once again, the club’s official channel has caught attention, with ex-Hoops midfielder Peter Grant’s commentary of Schmeichel’s crucial shootout save coming to light.
When the ‘keeper prevented Yilmaz from scoring, the 59-year-old let out an audible roar, which was mirrored by the green and white end of the national stadium:

Grant’s celebration when Celtic gained the upper hand in the shootout is understandable.
He still kicks every ball and remains a true fan of the club several years after his playing days ended.
