The Bhoys are looking to end their seven-year wait for a victory away from home in Europe’s premier club competition, and given they need just three points to make it to the knockout rounds, there would be no perfect time to end such a hiatus than tonight.

Brendan Rodgers thinks his players have been ‘building towards’ a monumental victory away from home in the Champions League since last season.

The manager spoke to the media yesterday ahead of this evening’s match, as did defender Trusty.

The 26-year-old, who joined the Scottish Premiership champions for £6m on summer transfer deadline day, revealed his lofty career ambitions: “I’m really hard on myself, and I want to be the best in the world,” he said (The Scottish Sun).

“I want to be the best player in the world.

“At the same time I’m playing my game, I’m doing my thing.

“I’m here to live my dream and my dream is playing football overseas in Europe and playing football every single day.

“To be able to do it for this historic club, it’s a dream.”

Since breaking into the Celtic side, Trusty has proved to be a more than dependable option at the centre of defence alongside either Liam Scales or Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The former Sheffield United and Arsenal man is good with the ball at his feet, adept physically, and dominant aerially. He also appears to understand what it means to play for Celtic.

Trusty will likely get the nod in Croatia this evening as the Hoops look to create history against Dinamo.
