Celtic’s Historic 22-Match Goalscoring Run

Celtic romped to a 5-0 win over Ross County this afternoon, as goals from Liam Scales, Luke McCowan, Paulo Bernardo, Adam Idah, and Callum McGregor helped them to an emphatic victory.

The Hoops blew away the Highlanders in the first half, and went in well ahead at the break.

Despite a half time appearance from fan favourite and former Celt Lubomir Moravcik, the hosts couldn’t extend their lead in the second 45.

Regardless, they made history in their win over County.

Indeed, according to reliable X page ‘Scotland’s Coefficient’, Celtic are currently on the longest run of scoring two or more goals in consecutive league matches in the club’s history.

After today’s win, the Bhoys have now scored two or more goals in 22 Scottish Premiership matches in a row. The run stretches back to March’s contentious 2-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle.

The Celts have now scored 67 goals in their past 21 Premiership games.

Such exploits put testament to the tremendous job Brendan Rodgers is doing with this Celtic team, and the extent of the successful attacking tactics he employs.

Now, the Irishman will look to keep this current scoring run going as he takes his team to face second placed Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Wednesday night.
