Video: North Curve Celtic Release Brilliant Pre-Match Footage

North Curve Celtic treated fans to an impressive pyro display spelling out “CFC” in flares before Celtic’s League Cup semi-final clash against Aberdeen.

The spectacle, captured in a video from above the stadium, was a powerful show of support, though it did delay the start of the game by about 15 minutes.

The wait was worth it for Celtic fans, as Brendan Rodgers’ side delivered a stunning 6-0 win, with Daizen Maeda netting a hat-trick and ending Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin’s unbeaten start to the season in emphatic fashion.

The match was a display of Celtic’s attacking prowess, with Cameron Carter-Vickers opening the scoring after thumping in an Arne Engels corner. Just minutes later, Maeda raced clear, setting up Kyogo Furuhashi for the second goal. Nicolas Kuhn, who was brilliant throughout, played a perfectly timed ball to send Maeda through for his first of the night, giving Celtic a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.

Aberdeen, who staged a comeback against Celtic in the league two weeks ago, looked overpowered from the outset and were unable to respond. Maeda added his second goal with a back-post finish before Kuhn capped off his excellent performance with a well-deserved goal. Maeda completed his hat-trick with a slick finish after a free-flowing team move, sealing a dominant 6-0 victory.

With their place secured in the final, Celtic now await the winner of Sunday’s semi-final between Rangers and Motherwell. The final is set for 15 December, as Rodgers’ side aim to capture the League Cup and continue their unbeaten domestic run.
