Celtic left-back Alex Valle had a challenging debut, coming off in the 61st minute with the Hoops trailing 2-1 to Falkirk at Celtic Park.
Despite his struggles, Valle did contribute positively by providing an assist for Paulo Bernardo’s opener.
He made a strong run into the Falkirk box, heading the ball to Bernardo, who then scored past Nicky Hogarth.
Valle was left isolated for Falkirk’s opener, as Alfredo Agyeman managed to hold him off after he headed the ball towards the edge of the box.
Ross MacIver then struck, capitalising on the situation with Reo Hatate caught up the pitch.
It was a disappointing moment for Valle, highlighting his defensive vulnerabilities with his lack of physicality against Agyeman.

However, Luis Palma’s lacklustre performance this afternoon didn’t help Valle on his Celtic debut.
Palma’s movement often left Valle isolated, making it difficult for the left-back to find support.
This added pressure contributed to Valle’s struggles during the match.
Even when he looked to invert, Palma would move inside, making it easier for Agyeman to exploit space out wide.
Given that it was Valle’s first game for Celtic, he is by no means the finished article.
However, he must be given time to find his feet in this impressive Celtic side.
With patience and support, Valle has the potential to develop into an impressive player given his plaudits received at Barcelona and Levante.
