Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has had quite an easy ride since joining the club after the European Championships.
Drafted in to replace the now-retired Joe Hart, you could count on one hand the number of saves the great Dane has had to make in green and white so far.

Already, Schmeichel looks as though he understands Celtic and what it means to represent the club.
A veteran who is coming towards the twilight of his career, the stopper is desperate to win some trophies in Glasgow’s east end.
Schmeichel is putting in the work behind the scenes, but recently, he reversed roles with one of his outfield colleagues at Lennoxtown.
Indeed, a select few Celts were chosen to receive their new EAFC ratings in person. Luis Palma, Yang Hyun-jun, Liam Scales, and Schmeichel all got to go on camera and play a few fun games.
One involved outfielder players going in goals. Winger Yang was chosen to go between the sticks to stop a shot from one of his teammates.
He (rather unsurprisingly) didn’t, to which Schmeichel reacted by hilariously quipping, ‘Not as easy as it looks, is it?’:

In the ratings, Schmeichel was adjudged to be Celtic’s best player. He was given a healthy 80 out of 100, while Yang had to settle for just 69.
Palma is rated 74 in the new video game, with Scales sitting at 73.
The Bhoys will look to ensure those numbers are higher next year by performing well throughout the 2024/25 season.
