Fringe Celtic Defender Could Complete Deadline Day Loan Exit

It is set to be a busy transfer deadline day at Celtic Park as the club works on several fronts to get deals done.

Arne Engels and Auston Trusty look set to join permanently for a combined £17m while Tomoki Iwata could be on the chopping block, along with fringe defender Maik Nawrocki.

The Pole joined the Hoops from Legia Warszawa last summer but has struggled to gain consistency amid several injury issues.

With Trusty on the way in, it is being reported on X by Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph that Nawrocki could leave on loan and has a few options to pick from.

If he did depart temporarily, he would join Gustaf Lagerbielke in doing so.

The Swede joined FC Twente for the season earlier in the week after a difficult maiden year with the champions.

Nawrocki could now follow a similar path after an equally tough first 12 months in Scotland.
