Celtic Ramp Up Mateusz Bogusz Pursuit; Talks Ongoing

Celtic have lodged an official bid for LAFC’s Mateusz Bogusz as the clock ticks down towards the transfer deadline on Friday night.

Sky Sports report The Hoops resumed talks with the MLS side after their 3-1 defeat to Columbus Crew in the Leagues Cup final on Sunday, where Bogusz made an impact with an assist for Olivier Giroud’s goal.

However, despite this formal offer, Celtic are still some way off meeting LAFC’s valuation of the Polish playmaker. Negotiations are ongoing, but with just days left in the transfer window, the pressure is mounting on Celtic to bridge the gap if they hope to secure Bogusz’s signature.

Brendan Rodgers is still in the market for several players, and the Celtic manager is growing increasingly anxious as the deadline approaches. Rodgers is hopeful of bringing in reinforcements, but time is running out, and the Hoops are in a race against the clock to finalise their transfer business.

Bogusz looks like a player who can make an immediate impact for Celtic if he does come in. With the club raking in over £25m for Matt O’Riley, they have serious cash to spend.
