Adam Idah made an appearance off the bench during Norwich City’s Championship opener against Oxford United, coming on for the final half-hour with the Canaries trailing 2-0.
As Idah took to the pitch, there were audible boos from a section of the away support. Despite Idah’s decision to play and contribute to the team, some fans expressed their displeasure, seemingly questioning his loyalty amid speculation about his future.
This reaction is particularly striking when contrasted with the situation of his teammate, Jonathan Rowe, who reportedly asked not to be selected as he pursues a move away. Adam at least turning up and doing his job for the team.

The striker’s decision to remain available and play, even as transfer rumours swirl, highlights his professionalism, regardless of what the future holds. However, the boos suggest that some Norwich supporters are still unhappy, perhaps feeling that his involvement doesn’t absolve him of what they perceive as divided loyalties.
For Celtic fans, Idah’s game time suggests that a transfer may not be as close as hoped, with Norwich willing to risk using him despite the possibility of a move.
It’s all become some tiresome and we’d like to see a resolution to this transfer one way or the other.
