Neil Lennon’s Rapid Bucharest is poised to bolster its squad with the acquisition of goalkeeper Ben Siegrist.
Siegrist, who joined Celtic under former manager Ange Postecoglou, did not manage to solidify his place in the squad, despite being considered one of the top goalkeepers in the league during his tenure at Dundee United.
Siegrist has already completed his medical at Rapid Bucharest and, with the formalities nearly finalised, his transfer is expected to be officially announced as early as tonight, Wednesday, Mark Hendry reported on Twitter.

His departure from Celtic seemed imminent after the club brought in two new goalkeepers, Viljami Sinisalo and Kasper Schmeichel, during this transfer window.
In addition to the goalkeeping changes, Rodgers has indicated that Celtic is actively pursuing further signings. He confirmed that discussions with the Celtic board have taken place to identify and secure target players.
The gaffer is expecting to take the squad to the next level with some new signings, saying that the club won’t be standing still.
