After a restful off-season in his homeland, Daizen Maeda is on his way back to Glasgow for the new campaign.

The winger wasn’t involved in Celtic’s first friendly of 2024/25 on Friday evening against Ayr United and because he is only returning from Japan now, he likely won’t play on Wednesday versus Queen’s Park either.
When the champions head out to the USA, though, the 26-year-old will be primed and ready.
He was recently pictured at an airport in Japan, set to head back to Scotland:

One of Celtic’s unsung heroes from last season, the Parkhead faithful truly began to appreciate what Maeda brought to the team when he spent a spell out through injury.
His speed, pressing ability, and continual attacking threat make him a constant thorn in the opposition’s side.
In 2024/25, things will be no different as the wide-man looks to keep his place in the lineup and ensure Celtic maintains domestic dominance.
