Celtic is intensifying its search for a new goalkeeper this summer, with Slovakian international Martin Dubravka emerging as a target this week.

Dubravka, who has amassed 43 caps for Slovakia, was a staple in Newcastle United’s lineup last season, appearing 23 times under manager Eddie Howe, with England internationalist Nick Pope injured.
According to TalkSPORT, Newcastle is open to letting Dubravka move if he wishes to seek new opportunities, potentially paving the way for a switch to Celtic.
However, it is believed that Sparta Prague’s Peter Vindahl Jensen is currently the top choice for Celtic. The Scottish club is reportedly prepared to invest over £4 million to secure the Danish goalkeeper from the Czech Republic as they look to fill the gap left by Joe Hart’s retirement.
This does cast a shadow of doubt in the reports linking Celtic to Martin Dubravka. Neither of the two goalkeepers aforementioned will be keen on coming to Celtic to be the number 2.
