What Colin Kazim-Richards Thinks The Next Step is For Celtic

He isn’t perhaps up there with Adam Idah in terms of making an immediate impact at Celtic after joining the club midway through a season, but Colin Kazim-Richards still left his mark in Glasgow.

Signed by Ronny Deila in February 2016, the journeyman scored two goals and assisted another in 13 appearances as the Hoops won five in a row.

Now without a club, Kazim-Richards has been speaking about Celtic’s successes this season and what their next steps should be.

Indeed, he reckons that improving in European competition should be high on the champions’ priority list after winning a double and becoming Scotland’s most successful club.

He said: (OLBG) “Now I would like to see now Celtic push on in Europe. That’s something I would like to see one million percent. I think that’s got to be in their plans.

“Everybody knows what they do in the Scottish league. Everybody knows what Rangers do in the Scottish league. But it would be nice to see Celtic push on in Europe.”

As a result of their title success this year, Celtic secured qualification for the newly revamped Champions League.

Eight games in the initial league phase provide Brendan Rodgers’ side with more opportunity than usual to impress and make a mark on the continent.

In the season gone by, the Celts doubled their points tally in Europe’s premier club competition from the previous campaign and in 2024/25, they will look to make more strides.
