Celtic captain Callum McGregor is the upholder of elite standards in the Hoops’ dressing room.
He ensures Brendan Rodgers’ messages reach the players while setting a prime example for his teammates to follow on the pitch.

The skipper has been a rock for the Bhoys over the past three years. He stepped up to the plate following the much-maligned Covid year and under Ange Postecoglou, was key.
Rodgers returning to Glasgow also did the skipper no harm given how he played under the Irishman during his first spell in charge of Celtic.
Now level with his former captain Brown on trophies won in green and white, McGregor is eager to go ahead of the Ayr United gaffer.
Indeed, after leading his team to a double at the weekend, the 30-year-old set his sights on the league cup, admitting that the Hoops want to bring it back to where it belongs.
He said: (Football Scotland) “We finished with two trophies but make no mistake, we want to be better again next season and that’ll be the remit when we come back in the summer.
“We’ve got to push and we want to get our other trophy back now as well.”
Despite just adding another medal to his ever-growing tally, McGregor’s serial winning mentality ensures he never rests on his laurels.
The midfielder wants to keep going and deliver yet more success in green and white.
