Brendan Rodgers Reveals Reason Behind Celtic Return

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed the reason why he returned to the club.

The Irishman was open in an interview with Sky Sports post-match after sealing the Scottish Premiership title.

Rodgers said: [Sky Sports],“I know what it’s like, it’s why I came back! We recover now. It was an amazing performance by the team after everything we went through this season. They’ve delivered when the pressure’s been on. When the pressure has been on we got the performances and the results.

“We want to finish the season strong at the weekend and then we get ready for the cup final.”

Rodgers certainly is enjoying life at Celtic, with the supporters in particular blowing him away with their league title celebrations.

Every title at Celtic means so much, and the club takes nothing for granted.

Rodgers has shown his class by digging deep this season.

He was clearly the best manager to succeed Ange Postecoglou in the summer, and no other manager could have succeeded under the circumstances the Irishman has faced at times this season.

The future looks bright under Rodgers, and with Champions League football guaranteed next season in the new format, now is the time to back a manager who is at Celtic to make history.
