Celtic captain Callum McGregor has heaped praise on his manager Brendan Rodgers following another pivotal derby victory and imminent title triumph.
The boss returned to Scotland at the beginning of the season but there has been no changing of the guard in the Premiership come the campaign’s end.

With two games to go, the Hoops sit comfortably six points clear at the top of the table and know a draw at Rugby Park on Wednesday night would suffice for them to win the league yet again.
He has been criticised at points throughout the campaign but Rodgers has stood firm and guided a team that perhaps isn’t full of the quality he would like to a title which at the campaign’s outset, was expected.
Skipper McGregor – who holds a strong relationship with the gaffer – recently lauded him and how he has been a rock for Celtic.
He said: [Sky Sports] “He has been outstanding.
“Difficult circumstances, obviously big injuries to big players as well and he has been amazing.
“He has always been a pillar of strength for the club.
“He was that when he was here the first time and even more so the second time.”
In guiding Celtic to another title, Rodgers has silenced several critics. He told the fans at the beginning of the season he’d see them back at Parkhead in May for a party, and that is what the supporters are gearing up for against St. Mirren this weekend.
