Gustaf Lagerbielke has experienced a season of stark contrasts at Parkhead.

Despite having high expectations upon his arrival, Lagerbielke has found regular first-team opportunities hard to come by, making only 10 appearances and totalling 575 minutes on the pitch.
Among his limited appearances, Lagerbielke did manage to leave a significant mark by scoring a crucial goal in Celtic’s Champions League group stage match against Feyenoord.
His late header sealed a 2-1 victory, marking Celtic’s first home win in the competition in over a decade.
Reflecting on his time so far, Lagerbielke opened up about the challenges and learning experiences of playing abroad.
Speaking to Aftonbladet, he said: “It’s been educational, it might sound like a cliche when you move abroad. Some real ups and downs. Some real highs, probably some of the highest peaks of my career, but also some lows with little playing time. So both good and bad from a football perspective, but off the pitch it’s been great, we really like it here.
“Away from the football, we take advantage of living somewhere else, not many people get the opportunity to live in a different country. It rains quite a lot here in Scotland so we haven’t spent that much time outdoors but we’ve been to the Highlands and visited a couple of castles.”
Despite his struggles for more consistent game time, he saw a potential move to Serie A’s Lecce fall through due to an injury scare to teammate Cameron Carter-Vickers.
You’d imagine in the summer he’s a player who will head for the exit door, for whatever reason, it’s just not worked at Celtic.
