Celtic To Stay Top of the Table For The International Break

Celtic will remain top of the Scottish Premiership for the upcoming international break following the postponement of Rangers’ clash with Dundee at Dens Park today.

The Ibrox club were due to take on the Dee at noon, but the game was called off following a pitch inspection due to a waterlogged pitch.

As a result, The Bhoys will stay at the summit of the Premiership until at least the 30th of March, when the Gers take on Hibs.

Indeed, if their game versus Tony Docherty’s team isn’t rescheduled to be played before April 7th, Celtic, if they win against Livingston at the Tony Macaroni Arena, will head to Ibrox league leaders.

The importance of this, and simply having games played and the points in the bag, should not be understated.

Things seem to be on the up for Celtic at the moment given the continual returns of some key players, and the upturn in the form of certain stars who were previously underwhelming.

Rodgers is beginning to get a tune out of the team, and he will certainly enjoy his St. Patrick’s Day, and the next few weeks for that matter, with his side top of the table.
