Brendan Rodgers Mirrors Celtic Fans With Blood Pressure Claims

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has mirrored the Hoops’ support with his claims that the club are sometimes not beneficial for his blood pressure.

The champions defeated Motherwell by three goals to one on Sunday afternoon, but two of their strikes came in the dying embers. Adam Idah got his second of the afternoon to make it 2-1 in the 94th minute with Luis Palma tapping in at the back post seconds later as he made his contributions to the victory.

Brendan Rodgers is not a stranger to dramatic clashes at Fir Park. In his maiden spell in charge of the Hoops, Tom Rogic scored a late winner to ensure victory in a seven-goal thriller.

Scott Sinclair’s 88th-minute penalty preserved the Celts’ invincible run in 2017 and earlier in the current campaign, Matt O’Riley won it in the 97th minute after Motherwell levelled things up moments prior.

The trend continued at the weekend, and the gaffer admitted that such late events aren’t favourable for his health: “Celtic’s never good for the blood pressure, that’s for sure!”, he said (The Celtic Way).

“It never is.

“It shows the belief, and that has to be at the forefront of everything because that comes before performance.

“It is what this club is known for, and every group has to have it. If you play for Celtic, you need to keep going until the very end.”
