Greg Taylor has played more than the majority of games for Celtic this season. The 26-year-old was duly rewarded with his second goal of the campaign against St. Mirren on Tuesday.
It was an adept finish from the full-back who has commented on speculation linking his club with other players in his position: “It’s always been the case hasn’t it?”, he said (The Celtic Way). “It’s been the same in every transfer window since I signed here, but it’s part of being at a big club. There will always be challenges and people breathing down your neck that want to take your jersey.”

Already this window, the Hoops have been linked with moves for Tiago Araujo and Owen Beck. Both left-backs, Taylor will undoubtedly see such news as a threat.
The 26-year-old, however, seems grounded and is used to regular speculation over his position. He takes it in his stride, and that was evident with his goal on Tuesday.
Now more than ever, though, it seems likely that Celtic will bring in a left-back. The growing links to numerous players in said position are telling but until anything is confirmed, Taylor seems in control of his own destiny.
