Brendan Rodgers Presented With Signed GAA Jersey At Livingston Match

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers was left a relieved man after his side won in the league for the first time since the beginning of December on Saturday. It was a deserved victory for the Hoops who will remain on top of the tree at Christmas.

Pre-match, the Irish gaffer was presented with a signed GAA jersey of the Kerry team. It was given to Rodgers by arguably the greatest Irish Gaelic football player of all time, David Clifford:

Clifford is a known Celtic supporter, and this was not his first visit to cheer on The Bhoys at Parkhead.

He and his Kerry teammates met with Cameron Carter-Vickers and Ange Postecoglou after the Hoops put Rangers to the sword in a memorable 4-0 triumph in September of last year. His visit this time will have had more meaning to it, though, because Rodgers is his compatriot and knows GAA due to his time growing up in Antrim.

It seems as though Clifford is a charm of good luck when he comes to Parkhead. Fans would undoubtedly welcome him back for next weekend’s Glasgow derby if it means they are to taste victory.
