Brendan Rodgers is buzzing about the Green Brigade’s return to Parkhead for the upcoming match against Livingston. They’ve been out of the picture since late October, but now it seems the frosty vibes between the club and this passionate group have thawed, and they’re gearing up to bring their electric energy back to their special standing section.
After some talks and a refreshed code of conduct for their spot in the stadium, things are looking up. Rodgers is all in for this reunion, expecting the atmosphere to be electric against David Martindale’s squad. He’s a big believer in the magic that fans bring, especially when it’s crunch time. For Rodgers, that unity among fans, players, and management is what gives Celtic its strength.
“Listen for the guys to be back in there it’s great,” he told Celtic youtube, acknowledging their unique vibe and their role in creating Britain’s first safe standing area.
Rodgers continued:”Celtic’s history is littered with late goals and a big part of that is down to the fans and the whole stadium getting behind the team. That’s what makes Celtic.
“When you have the manager, the supporters and the players all on the same page it’s a real force.

“But we know when the atmosphere is white hot at Celtic it makes it a really difficult place to come, and it gives the players the extra edge as well. Listen for the guys to be back in there it’s great.
“They have given an ambience in that corner section. The club gave them that opportunity to have the first safe standing area in Britain, so hopefully they can get back in tomorrow and support the team.
“It’s their responsibility as well as the whole stadium to really get behind the team to help us get the result.”
Celtic look to bounce back after two SPFL defeats in a row, something that’s not happened in over a decade. It’s up to the team to do their talking on the pitch and the fans will do their bit off it.
It’s the final game before Christmas, but after Livingston there are still three more vital games for the Hoops before the winter break. Away to Dundee on Boxing day, followed by a Glasgow derby showdown at Celtic Park on December 30 and to finish off St Mirren away.
