In the aftermath of Celtic’s stirring victory over Feyenoord in Wednesday night’s Champions League encounter, midfielder Matt O’Riley took to social media on Thursday to extend his heartfelt thanks to the Celtic supporters. His message, filled with appreciation and warmth, highlights the connection between the players and the fans.
O’Riley served up an outstanding assist for Gustaf Lagerbielke to clinch a last minute winner for the bhoys in the Champions League. That assist earned the club £2.4m from UEFA win bonus scheme.
The player took to X on Thursday to express his delight.
Happy we could get the win last night.
Thanks for your support as always💚 https://t.co/Wx4cUScbir— Matt O’Riley (@mattoriley8) December 14, 2023
Celtic will now move on quickly from that game hoping the result gives them a boost going into the business end of December.

The bhoys will need to be at their best on Saturday when Hearts come to town. Celtic are five points clear at the top of the table, but have played one game more. The Rangers are in the cup final against Aberdeen so it’s a chance to make them play catch up because they’re not in league action.
