LIAM Scales has spoken about the unique connection he feels as an Irish player at Celtic.

This sense of connection is deeply rooted in the historical and cultural ties between Ireland and Celtic, a club that has long been a favourite among Irish football fans and has seen several Irish players don its jersey over the years.
Rather than crossing to the UK in his teens, like many Irish players have done in recent years, Scales remained in Ireland, playing for Shamrock Rovers until just before his 23rd birthday. His move to Celtic was relatively low key, but he has since made significant strides.
After an initial season of limited appearances and a loan spell at Aberdeen, Scales has become a regular starter for Celtic, featuring in 15 consecutive games. This consistent run in the team has not only solidified his place at Celtic but also opened the door to international football.
Speaking to the Irish Independent, Scales expressed a deep sense of pride in playing for Celtic, both for himself and his family.
“Playing for Celtic is massive. For me and my family, they are all so proud and I am proud of myself. Being Irish, there is a connection there, a big fan base in Ireland. For me to be sort of representing the Irish at Celtic, it’s great. I’m trying to enjoy every minute of it because who knows how long it will last.”
