Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers handed midfielder Odin Thiago Holm his first league start in green and white against Aberdeen last Sunday. The Norwegian under-21 internationalist failed to put a foot wrong in his outing.
Holm ended up playing 53 minutes in the match. Before it, his gaffer made some comments about him that will excite supporters. Rodgers said (Sky Sports): “He’s a very gifted player with the ball. He’s mobile, he can create opportunities, and he’s settled in very very well. I predict a really bright future for Odin, he’s only 20. He can handle the ball, he can pick a pass, he can play forward, and he’s also tenacious.”

Holm is of an extremely tender age. He is one of the youngest members of Celtic’s first-team squad, but the manager clearly rates him.
Many supporters were excited to see him start this afternoon. The former Valerenga man’s performance was adequate. He will be keen to nail down the vacant third spot in the Hoops’ engine room, and his display today won’t have done him any harm.
