Scott Brown Rolls Back The Years with Sunday Appearance

Scott Brown rolled back the years on Sunday at Easter Road when he took to the field for David Gray’s testimonial.

The Celtic legend traded his green and white hoops for the first uniform he wore in his professional football jersey to pay tribute to Gray and his efforts for the club.

Scott has been out of the limelight since he was sacked by Fleetwood town earlier this season. Results weren’t good at the start of the campaign and Scott paid the price for the poor run.

On social media, Broony has been showing off his impressive 5k times, showing he’s still keeping up with his fitness, something that served him very well during the second half of his Celtic career.

Playing on Sunday, in front of the Hibs faithful, the former midfielder impressed so much that some Hibs fans were floating the idea of bringing the quadruple treble winner out of retirement.

While we think that’s more than a long shot, it’s great to see Scott in such great shape in retirement.

Once upon a time, the Celtic captain didn’t take care of himself. It was the intervention of Brendan Rodgers during the Irishman’s first spell at the club that really turned around Scott’s career.

From a Celtic stand point, it would be great to see Broony back at the club in a coaching capacity.
