It appears that Ismaila Soro is finally on the brink of sealing a move to Beitar Jerusalem.
The Israeli club’s manager, Yossi Abukasis, has expressed confidence in bringing in three new signings, with Soro being one of them.
Soro, who has been sidelined by both Brendan Rodgers and Ange Postecoglou, is currently in discussions with Celtic to terminate his contract, which has a year left.
The Israeli outfit has been pursuing the Ivory Coast midfielder for over a month, particularly after their opening league game loss to Hapoel Haifa.

Manager Yossi Abukasis as reported by RecordSport, stated, “We are working on it. There are several candidates that I hope will not run away from us at the last second. I hope that at least three players will join in the coming days.”
Earlier this month, it seemed that Soro was set to join Beitar after spending last season on loan at Portuguese club Arouca.
However, the midfielder had a change of heart and decided to move to French second-tier team Valenciennes. Unfortunately, paperwork hurdles scuppered the move, leaving Soro in limbo.
Before joining Celtic for £2 million three years ago, Soro had a two-year stint in Israel with Bnei Yehuda.
His last appearance for Celtic was in a Europa League match against Real Betis in December 2021, a game that had no bearing on the group standings.
As Soro’s Celtic journey appears to be coming to an end, we wish him all the best.
