SPFL Rival Praises New Celtic Signing Tilio

Marco Tilio was announced as Celtic’s second summer signing a few weeks ago.

The young Australian winger has been brought in from A-League side Melbourne City in a shrewd move. Tilio signed a five year deal in Glasgow’s east end and will be eager to showcase his talents early doors in order to put up a respectable fight for a place in the Celtic team.

He certainly has the ability to contribute under Brendan Rodgers, thinks Hibs ace Martin Boyle. Boyle said (Daily Record): “He’s tiny .. smaller than me! But his stature, physicality and that… you would never be able to tell if he is right or left-footed. He has natural ability and if he’s given the opportunity, I’m sure he’ll do well.”

All indications point towards Tilio succeeding in Glasgow. He seems to receive praise from several sources and his fellow Aussie winger Boyle is the next to applaud him amid his transfer to Celtic.

And with the Hoops, the 21-year-old will be eager to capture the imagination and join a long line of successful Australians who have played for the club such as Tom Rogic and Mark Viduka. If Tilio can even partly emulate these past players’ prosperity, then he will be fondly remembered in Glasgow.
