The European titans have been meticulously tracking his evolution at Bayer Leverkusen, eyeing the Dutch player as a potential Galactico recruit. The bidding for Leverkusen’s star, sought-after by Manchester United as well, is reported to open at £34 million. [Fichajes]

The reigning Premiership champions incorporated a solid sell-on clause in Frimpong’s contract, speculated to be around 30%. A £34m deal for Frimpong would thus potentially funnel over £10m into Celtic’s bank account. [InsideFutbol]

Frimpong’s journey has been nothing short of stellar. The 22-year-old moved from Manchester City’s youth squad to Celtic in 2019, seeking a significant career leap. His sterling performances in Glasgow led to his transition to Germany, where he’s excelled as an aggressive wing-back under Xabi Alonso’s guidance.

Frimpong was initially expected to seal a move to Manchester United, with rumours linking the Dutchman to the club surfacing over the past few windows and it’s known he’s still on Erik Ten Hag’s wishlist.

Hopefully, Manchester United see the latest development and spark a bidding war which would see more cash head Celtic’s way.
