‘What I do know’ – Ange Reacts to Celtic Transfer Question

Kyogo Furuhashi has rose to prominence in Glasgow following his move to Celtic back in 2021 and his manager Ange Postecoglou has revealed the Japanese is loving life in green and white.

In 111 Hoops appearances so far, the centre forward has scored a prodigious 49 goals.

Kyogo has quickly became a fan favourite in the east end of Glasgow and when Postecoglou was asked if he was confident about keeping the 28 year old, he said (The Scottish Sun):

“As confident as I am about keeping any other player.

“But I’ve been involved in this game for so long I know that’s not how football works.

“You prepare to keep everyone, you prepare to lose everyone.”

Postecoglou has taken a stance here that is common of his managerial style in that no player is singled out.

Nonetheless, he did go onto say Kyogo is loving life in Glasgow:

“What I do know is Kyogo is really happy at the football club, he loves playing for Celtic, he loves the supporters, he loves his team-mates.

“Hopefully he is here for a very long time.”

Both the Australian and Celtic fans will have the same hope that Kyogo stays at the club for a while.

In just under two years, the impact he’s made has been immense and if he stays even longer, one wonders what more he could do.
