The Green Brigade, North Curve and The Bhoys were all on the same stand on Thursday evening for Celtic’s amazing 3-1 triumph against Glasgow City.
The ghirls were 1-0 down at half time but an inspired second half saw them win 3-1 on the night.
The Celtic fans came out in their numbers and set a SWPL attendance record for the league. A crowd of 9553 was at Paradise to see the Celtic Women do their stuff.
The sub story tonight though has to be the ultra supports pitch to take over the Celtic end for EVERY match day. Making the Celtic version of Dortmund’s ‘yellow wall’. The groups have already leafleted Celtic fans about the idea that would see many fans either move their seats or stay and become part of the standing section.
The biggest issue is moving people from seats that they have perhaps been in for over 20 years or more.
There is no doubt the fan base helped the ghirls to a memorable victory against Glasgow City tonight.
Could a ‘green wall’ reignite Celtic Park’s fear factor on Champions League and European nights?! It could be an intimidating sight for opponents.
