£3m Fee Agreed: Celtic Closing in on Third Signing this Week – report

Scott Burns of RecordSport is still adamant Celtic are deep in talks with Antwerp and Aurelio Buta after an update from Belgium on Tuesday claimed the moves wasn’t close.

Burns writes a fee has been agreed and personal terms are now being discussed – contrary to the above report.

The Journo writes: Celtic and Royal Antwerp remain in talks over the right-back, although a deal of just under £3million has been agreed.

Elsewhere, Burns believes Brighton are still hot on the tail of Odsonne Edouard – even though there’s been no hint from the club a deal is forthcoming.

The RecordSport man rounded it off by claiming Celtic are still interested in Cameron Carter-Vickers from Spurs. However, the defender wants a permanent move if he’s leaving Spurs.

Celtic announced two major signings on Tuesday afternoon. The fans were aware of Joe being in the building but the James McCarthy deal came out of nowhere. There were some rumours but Celtic fans know McCarthy has been linked with the club almost every transfer window since he was at Hamilton.
