37-Year-Old Former Celtic Striker Makes Dream Debut

Scott McDonald has been up to his usual antics, doing what he does best scoring the winner on his A-League debut for his new side Western Sydney Wanderers.

The striker scored an important goal in the game to put the Wanderers 3-1 up after 73 minutes, which they went on to win 3-2 in the end against local rivals Sydney FC.

Coming off the bench just past the hour mark, McDonald rised highest from a corner to head home around eight minutes after coming on to make his debut.

It looks to be a big three points for Western Sydney Wanderers, who picked up their first win in six games with the former Celtic striker playing a key part.

As a striker, McDonald was known as a poacher type frontman but when you look back at his goals for Celtic he possessed some great quality in and around the box.

So, it’s no surprise to see him go back to his homeland and continue to produce in front of goal at the age of 37.
