3 Things We Learned As Record-Breaking Celts Thrash Dundee United

ANGE POSTECOGLOU broke a few records on Sunday. He’s now passed the thirty-six game unbeaten run he set at Brisbane Roar, with Celtic’s win taking it to thirty-seven games unbeaten domestically.

The win also saw Celtic set a new record for the biggest ever away win in the club’s history and their biggest win in twelve years.

It was a great game for fans to tune into and even better for the couple of thousand in the away stands.

Here are three things we learned after watching Celtic run riot over Jack Ross’ Dundee United;

Abada for Maeda?

After Abada’s performance, it’s hard to justify dropping him ahead of the trip to Ross County and for the Derby next week. He offered something Maeda can’t; some of his passing was exceptional. However, dropping Maeda does mean that the relentless pressing is missing from the side. It’s a tricky one!

We Never Stop

It feels like we’re saying this a lot now, but it’s true. In Ange’s words, we never stop until full-time. Even when Celtic was 9-0 up, they were pushing for a tenth with the fans egging them on. Double figures under Ange is coming!

Kyogo is on a different level

Kyogo was exceptional again today, as was the whole squad. The Japanese striker has changed his game and has become even more effective up top. He scored his trademark tap-in today but also showed another side to his game. He hit one first time from outside the box, which doubled Celtic’s lead. He really is a top, top player. Celtic got the striker for a bargain last summer.
