It was Celtic’s last game of the year, running out 4-0 winners in the capital.

The side were magnificent, with several players standing out. Although man of the match would have to go to Aaron Mooy or Daizen Maeda, it’s got to be said that Carl Starfelt, Callum McGregor, and Greg Taylor all stood out.
On the day Aaron Mooy opened his Celtic scoring account, he bagged a brace. Daizen Maeda also scored a brilliant goal, after missing a few sitters. Kyogo done his thing, popping up with a goal despite not being heavily involved in the match.
Some of the passing from the players was just sublime under the lights, with passages of play a joy to watch under Ange.
As Celtic picked up three points, here are three talking points.
Mooy to Start at Ibrox?
Aaron Mooy has been magnificent over the past few games and has really added to the Celtic midfield especially going forward.
Everything positive seems to go through the Aussie, and he’s got to be in contention for a start at Ibrox. However, to do that, Hatate would need to start out of position or drop out, with Matt O’Riley and Callum McGregor integral parts of the team.
Vata’s Senior Debut
Rocco Vata, the son of Rudi, was brought on with ten minutes to go, making his first competitive appearance for the Hoops. He’s been in and around the squad since pre-season, going to training camps with the first team, but he hadn’t been able to get on the pitch until Wednesday night.
He’s one for the future, but the second he’s bedded into the first team, the better.
He’s the 6th youngest player to play in the SPFL, and the youngest Irish player to play in the league. It’s the 16th father and son-duo to play in the Scottish league.
Kyogo Scores Again
Kyogo wasn’t heavily involved in the match again tonight, but he did what he does best. He popped up for Celtic’s fourth goal after remaining cool and composed in front of goal. It was a tidy finish from the Japanese striker, who topped the scoring charts with fourteen goals.
