Celtic are working hard behind the scenes to bring in a number of signings before the end of the month but according to late night reports — talks are not going as planned.
The bhoys are trying to land a target man type striker and have made moves to bring in Erevidise top scorer Giorgos Giakoumakis.
The Greek forward surprised many when he banged in the goals for Venlo last term.
Despite his efforts — the club was relegated at the end of last season and the player is looking to continue his career elsewhere.
Celtic are keen on the striker but there have been reports wages are an issue at the moment.
It’s late but told #Celtic have agreement with Venlo to sign Giorgos Giakoumakis for between £2.5m-£3.5m but move has stalled over wages/personal terms. #WerderBremen now pushing hard. #CelticFC

There have been conflicting reports about a fee being agreed or not with Venlo. This transfer could go to the wire and might only happen if Celtic sell a striker.
The club will be fielding interest for Edouard over the next ten days and if they get their asking price, he could be the man to make way.
We’ll find out sooner rather than later.
