Reports overnight claim Celtic have offered Kristoffer Ajer a new deal but the defender has rejected it.

This comes not long after his agent has been quoted as saying the Norwegian’s agent made the comments his client would leave the club this summer, talking to SportTen.

Football Insider claim a £25kpw deal was put in front of Kristoffer but he rejected the deal and will now look to win a move away from the club.

A lot of supporters will be surprised Ajer has taken such an abrasive tact in trying to get a move away if reports are accurate.

Ajer has been a first team player for a little over a year and still has a long way to go before he’s considered an all round defender.

It’s disappointing but that’s the nature of the beast, if he roars after making a challenge between now and the end of the season, many Celtic fans will not buy into his perceived passion.
