17 Goals, 3 Assists; Former Rodgers Signing Finds His Form Away From Celtic

LEWIS MORGAN has been named New York Red Bulls player of the year after his fantastic debut season for the club.

The former Celtic winger who was sold by Celtic to Inter Miami was traded to New York RB last year. Since his move, Lewis has been a pivotal part of the squad and more than contributed on the park.

He has become a fan favourite in New York!

Lewis was signed by Brendan Rodgers and loaned back to St Mirren at first. When he came to the club, the midfielder was trying to break into a team that kept winning trebles, so it was always going to be difficult.

He never found his rhythm at the club or proper place in the starting XI. Away from Scotland, Lewis has gone about forging his career in the MLS and it’s certainly paying off at the moment.

Lewis is also teammates with former Celts Calvin Miller and Patryk Klimala.

There’s no doubt we’ll see Lewis back on these shores again in his career. Could a Scotland call be in his future?
