Celtic have scheduled talks with the representatives of Rosenborg striker Casper Tengstedt.
The 22-year-old has bagged 15 goals in 14 league appearances this season in Eliteserien, and incredibly assisted 9.
Football Scotland have revealed the Hoops are still very keen to sign a striker in the January window and are surveying their options at the moment.
Talks will be held with Casper’s reps to gauge the striker’s interest in a Celtic move and the numbers it would take to get the player to Glasgow.
Football Scotland also report the club still expect Greek striker Giakoumakis to leave the club during the January window. The frontman not happy with his position in the squad and the improved terms he’s been offered.
Any fee for Giak will be freed up to sign a striker.
Casper will be familiar to Celtic’s Matt O’Riley. Both men are part of the Danish Under 21 setup.
The Hoops would likely need to pay a significant fee for the striker. Casper’s contract runs until 2026.
