£12million Star Admits Celtic Park Memory Will Live With Him Forever

It’s safe to say Filip Benkovic is loving life at Celtic Park, even before Thursday night’s incredible atmosphere.

The defender has come on loan from Leicester and has been a real success story so far on and off the field.

The Croatian has helped shore up Celtic’s defence and he has created a formidable partnership with an in-form Dedryck Boyata.

Thursday night was Benkovic’s first PROPER European night at Celtic Park and he loved every minute of it.

The £12million man an have no doubts he made the right call in coming up to play first team football with Celtic.

Speaking about Thursday night, the defender declared the fans were ‘on fire’ and they gave Celtic the platform to go and get a fantastic result.

“When we went out on to the pitch at the beginning our fans were on fire. The atmosphere was crazy and they gave us the wings to play.”  Benkovic told SunSport.

“The memory of it will live with me forever and I want to enjoy as many of them as I can.”

Benkovic has a recall clause in his contract that could potentially be triggered in January. Right now there is no talk of this and we hope Celtic have him for at least the rest of the season!
