Celtic winger James Forrest made his own history this afternoon, joining Bobby Lennox as the Hoops’ most decorated player.
With Forrest now having won 25 trophies at Celtic, including 12 league titles, 7 Scottish Cups, and 6 League Cups, he has firmly cemented his place as one of the club’s all-time greats.
For all the criticism Forrest has received over the years due to dips in form and struggles with injuries, he saved his Celtic career at the beginning of the year in a fightback that few saw coming.
This highlighted his elite mentality.
The fact that he has played his entire career at Celtic, starting with his first-team debut in May 2010 against Motherwell, where he scored, speaks volumes.
His ability to perform under a number of different managers and in various roles within different teams shows just how incredible a servant he has been to the club.

He may not always be seen as the most glamorous player due to his quiet lifestyle off the pitch, but Forrest has the chance to make history by the end of the season, becoming Celtic’s most decorated player, an accolade no one could have imagined would be broken due to Bobby Lennox’s incredible 20 years at Celtic from 1961 to 1981, including a six-month spell in the NASL with the Houston Hurricanes in 1978.
For Forrest, it was a special day, just like Celtic, who themselves made history by winning their 119th trophy as a club, overtaking the Rangers’ tally of 118 and cementing the Hoops as truly the best team in Scotland.
