It’s safe to say many Celtic fans think Marvin Compper’s Parkhead career is over before it has really begun.
The German has been injured for most of his Glasgow stay so far and has played just 83 minutes of competitive football in the Hoops.
Compper, however, believes there is still time for him to make an impact at the club even though he has been left out of Celtic’s Europa League squad.
“I do not look back and I firmly believe that I will have some more beautiful moments. Actually, my idea is to end my career at Celtic.” The German admitted.
Compper was brought in back in January for experience even though he was cup tied for the Europa League against Zenit.
The thought was Compper would steady the defence towards the end of last season and that he would be ready for the club’s European assault this term.
However, injuries have plagued the defender to the point Brendan Rodgers has lost patience with the player.
It’s unlikely he will have a positive Celtic career at this point but he may get his wish and retire at Celtic.
